IBN In-Person Event Lausanne: Learnings from Sporting Success

The evening will kick off with a comprehensive overview of Lausanne’s Sports Action Plan by Lise Cordey, Deputy Delegate for Community Sport and Sport for All, City of Lausanne. This promises to be an enlightening session, offering insights into the city’s strategic initiatives in the realm of sports.
Following this, our distinguished speakers will engage in a roundtable discussion on « Sports and Life after Sports. » Karen Dolphin, Head of Athlete and Olympian Relations, IOC, and Adam Scholefield, British Water Polo Olympian, will share their perspectives on the challenges, decisions, and opportunities inherent in the world of sports. Gain valuable insights into life after an athletic career and the support systems available.
The intellectual exchange will be followed by an open discussion, skillfully moderated by Mary Mayenfisch-Tobin, IBN Suisse Vice President. This is an excellent opportunity for attendees to actively participate, pose questions, and contribute to the discourse.
- Lise Cordey: Former Swiss champion swimmer, currently serving as Deputy Delegate for Community Sport and Sport for All, City of Lausanne.
- Karen Dolphin: Renowned Head of Athlete and Olympian Relations, IOC, and the first Irish Karate entry to the European Olympics (2015).
- Adam Scholefield: A distinguished PhD, Engineer, Researcher, and British Water Polo Olympian with notable achievements at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Places are limited. Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis and will be confirmed on receipt of payment of fees. Once the event is full, names will be added to a waiting list. Once places are confirmed, fees will only be reimbursed in case of cancellation if your place is filled by someone from the waiting list. Fees will not be reimbursed for any cancellations notified after 18.00 on Friday 23rd February 2024.
